Just Tuesday

Its Tuesday, and its cold, raw and dreary.  There's one of those "wintery mixes" falling from the sky,  and I've been in my jammies all day.

Its Tuesday, American Idol day.  Its my first season watching the show - I know - what rock have I been under- but I'm looking forward to "girls night".

Its Tuesday, and I have those two peeks I mentioned yesterday.

Its Tuesday, which means tomorrow is Wednesday, the day I visit the orthopedist, who will hopefully, tell me I can take this contraption off my leg and start up some physical therapy.

Its Tuesday, the day between Monday and Wednesday.

And its Tuesday, and its been terrific so far.

Just Buttons and Cupid

So, I've been trying to reorganize my scraproom.lately and usually, shortly after I start, I get so overwhelmed with the masses of stuff that I give up and figure, "I'll do it tomorrow".  Well yesterday, the big guy was deep into taxes and  I knew I'd have a few hours to myself , so I finally took a baby step......... it took a while, but I'm thinking that going forward, it will be a time saver.....

For sure, it shoud be better than my previous system, which really wasn't a system, but just tons of buttons, some in zip lock bags by color, some on cards, and some in their orginal plastic pouches, all in one big box.

I'm  not sure what I'll attack next, or when, but, the ribbons, chipboard and tools need attention too -  I'd love  to hear any organizing ideas you may want to share.

And, speaking of buttons, here's a peek at one of the RAH design team layouts  I created over the weekend using Pink Paislee's Cupid collection.  Two more of these to share tomorrow! Fun stuff!

Have a great Monday!!

Just Friday Favorites

Now that I'm blogging again, I thought it would be fun to do the Five  Fave Friday thing again.  So, here we go, my five Friday faves for this week,  in no particular order, of course!

First up, the fire grilled pizza crust by Top This. With the arrival of lent, I'm off of meat on Wednesdays and Fridays until Easter.  These are fire grilled, wheat crusts with no preservatives that you simply top and throw in the oven  for ten minutes.  I use a mix of harvarti and parmasean cheeses with a pizza sause by Casa Visco, olive oil and a quick sprinkle of oregano.  Yum.YUM.YUM.

Next on to scrappy things, and, altough its still a work in progress, this is already my favorite mini book ever.   I'm using a Maya Road base and lots of goodies from this month's Studio Calico Baker's Dozen kit as well as goodies from my stash.  How cute is that yellow buckle?  Sigh........how I miss all of the old KI trinkents............

This, by Patterson

And I love, love, love my new little ten inch toy..............the Acer Netbook.  Its blue.......and replaced my  HP laptop which I accidentally broke by knocking off the bed with my leg, which is so fat and heavy with my knee brace on.

And last, but not least, this show........only two episodes left until the end.    I'm certain to have separation anxiety when this stops airing..........

Just Sidetracked

Happy Thursday all, hope the sun is shining where you are, as it is here in the Ocean State.  Its still pretty cold outside, but at least it isn't snowing!!  I thihk we're free of the white stuff for a few days now.  Well, until next Tuesday or so, they say.

Anyway, moving on to the scrappy stuff, I was in the mood for a mini book yesterday - can't remember the last time I made one - and started out with all types of creative energy, but then I got sidetracked by those darn Olympics.  And book club at RAH -  I'm thrilled to have this little beauty in my hands.

And then there was American Idol.  And Nip/Tuck.  So yeah..........sidetracked.  Never got back to my scrap room.  So here's what I'll start out with today, if I don't get sidetracked yet again.........today is an Auntie Day.

Gotta love the white crackle on chipboard...............

Until the next time!

Just a snow day

Snow was falling heavily when I woke up this morning and the forecast called for it to keep up for most of the day.  That, of course, immediately translated into a great scrap day  and, once I sat down to create, I thought, "ahh..... great day to start with one of those create a page with whats on your desk pages" and my desk, and scraproom for that matter, were a mess. So, there went all those little pieces of stuff, the punched circles, little strips of paper, clips, rub on pieces, etc.  Ended up with this,

Quick and easy and done!  I love that there is always a piece of transparency on my desk!!

A Belated Happy Valentine's Day!

So, here I am starting to blog again and I've already been neglectful.   Dealing with this leg brace and the torn mcl is bad enough, but then  I had a yucky stomach bug that started Tuesday night and  kept me pretty quiet through Friday.  Thankfully, I'm over that and back to feeling normal again.  Well, almost normal except the knee.    Anyway,

a belated Happy Valentine's Day to you.

I got these in a big, long box after a knock on the door yesterday morning,

and chocolates and then chinese food for dinner..........what more could a girl want, right?!!

I managed to grab a little  scrappy time today, and created this layout using a challenge prompt from Elizabeth K.'s "52 More Scrapbooking Challenges".

I've so enjoyed the book.  The challenge was to use a photo as a layout base.  Always one of my favorite photos, I snapped this one over Narragansett Bay last Feburary on our way to Orlando.    Try this photo as a layout base thing..........its wicked fun!!   I've got another one in progress.

I think now I"m going to tell the big guy that I want a large format printer next month for my birthday!!!

And thanks for stopping by!

So, here we go........

I'm venturing back into the blogosphere.........Yeah..... I missed my old blog, so I figured I'd just jump back in! And what better way to start than with a Sunday layout. I've been feeling really scrappy lately......and its soooooo cold outside, today like eight degrees.......I can't think of any other way I'd rather spend my indoor time on a Sunday morning.

I used Studio Calico's recent Whodunit kit on this one. Just added a piece of corrugated cardboard with a fine coat of white crackle paint to create the offset frame.

That's it for now....... I'm going back to creating!

Enjoy the Superbowl tonight, if you're watching!
