Just A Peek at the Scrap Room Redo
Hello all and happy Monday.
OK, so I'm so very excited about being a Magpie Girl, so, in anticipation of the arrival of the first kit, I thought it a wonderful reason to redo my room.
I went with orange and green....the walls are pale yellow.
I apologize for the bad lighting.....it was rainy today, gray and gloomy, and, I took these at night.
The big guy snickered at the lime green polka dot curtains....
chipboard, inks, stamps, buttons, brads .............the green box is ready for Magpie
more paper, cardstock, embellishments, mists...........
printers, computer, more drawers of stuff........
adhesvies, idea books, die cuts............
SC kits..............
Enjoy your night!!

Just April OLW Blog Hop
Welcome April! Here we "hop" again! And I'm not "fooling"!!!
So, OLW - I find myself thinking of "serendipity" a lot.....and sometimes, serendipity is finding me.
March was all about action and the ONE action I've been putting off was joining a new gym. Last year at this time, I was wearing this, in my third month with it, with three more to go,
I lugged that hip to ankle brace around for so long - it still haunts me . When I think back, I can't for the life of me figure out how I slept with that thing on. So, for those reasons and a few more, I kept putting off going back to the gym. The thought of tearing up my knee again was just too frightening. Well, thank you for the push to take action Ali, I did it. On March 12th, I finally signed up at a gym. I've been going only three times a week, but I'm starting to have more confidence in my leg. I'm not so sure its serendipitous, but it was an important action for me to take. Perhaps the serendipty will kick in when I end up in a size 2 when I was hoping to get to a size 4!!
Anyway, I haven't finished my journaling yet, but here's the page.
I popped some crystal brads through the tabs the twine wraps around
and, when you flip it out, there is a butterfly on the other side as well.
I had my birthday this month, so I used a large page protecter for those special birthday cards I got. Yeah........that little girl's envelope is on the top. That 12 year old penmanship makes me giggle. We've got a sleepover at auntie's house next Friday - if you have any ideas on something fun to do, please let me know - auntie is running out of them!!!
On the back side of this page, I popped some extra circles on top of the page protector for some added dimension. And oh!! How I adored all that "big" stuff by Bazzill! I was psyched when I found this big paper clip!!
And, to catch up on february (I loved doing the page of small photos), I ended up with these, Its a cool effect, isn't it?
On a final note, I challenged myself one day last month to create a page with the mess on my desk, the one there in the photo, with that fat Martha Stewart ribbon. I should be posting it next week. Here is the photo again,
So, there you go!! The hop goes live at 8:00 AM PST. From here, I send you to Joy's blog for more March action.
In the event you get lost along the way, here is the entire list.
Thanks for hopping in!

Just Spring on the Way
Its been pretty cold here - too cold for late March - like still in the 30's and a "snowy mix" is predicted for Friday. Winter has grabbed on and just won't let go, or so it seems anyway. But, when I was poking around the yard on Saturday, I was thrilled to discover a little spring color.....Its fun too, because I have no idea whats going to pop up or where things may be - we moved in in late June so its our first "spring" in the house - just have to ignore that I need a coat, hat, gloves and boots to navigate around and discover!!
These are near the mail box,
These in the back, near the garage,
And these, in the back, below our bedroom window.
I'm really not sure what they all are, but they are just enough to keep the faith that spring is really on its way!
And now, I'm off to meet a friend for breakfast, get a hair cut, head to the gym and then come home and spend the rest of the day creating.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Tuesday!!
