Just another week!

Well, I'm thinking that since I've let another week go by without showing up here, I'll just catch up with a few words and photos.

Just Friday Faves on Monday and More Joy Ride

Well hello and happy Monday!  I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday yesterday! The weather here has been gorgeous and yesterday was no exception!

I'm not quite sure what it was exactly that got me sidetracked last week, maybe the beautiful weather, maybe shopping for new Roxy's or maybe even looking at a few more condos and even a house, but, I never got to posting my faves, so here they are!

First up, I've said it before and I'm pretty sure I'll be saying it again,

Taking the number two spot, this photo, it really sums it up for me and is the one you'll find at Roxy on line......

Moving on to getting a box in the mail with these inside,

And really yummy, sort of good for you whole grain muffins.....

I finished my RAH Design Team projects for April last week.  I was thrilled to have had more Joy Ride goodness to play with!  So here are those peeks!

Just Happy Easter

We've been having some gorgeous sunny days here, and I've been outside doing this and that enjoying it!  Been inside doing the scrappy thing at night, so will be back tomorrow to share some peeks of that.

Just No More Rain and More

Well, the rain has finally stopped but sadly, has left so much devastation.....schools and businesses are still closed, as are streets, parts of the highway and more.  The mall is under water, a bridge is ready to collapse - its just a mess.  I feel so, so bad for the familes evacuated from their homes..........and I heard if it were snow, it would have been over nine feet.  Lots of water..........lots. 

I did get out yesterday, and meet a friend for lunch at a great local italian place - it was like escaping to Italy in the middle of a deluge.......

And the food?  Oh, so YUM!!

So anyway, there was a special going on at Shutterfly a few weeks ago where you could get a free film strip, so I figured, why not!  I don't think it was out of the mailbox a half  hour the other day  before I did this layout, inspired by another sketch from the class ..........

 I used yellow arylic paint on an old foam stamp by Junkitz for the little area of polka dots under the title.

And I've been working on April design team projects for RAH and will be posting peeks of those soon.

For now, I'm off to the gym!!!  Knee brace still in tow, and I can't do any leg weights, but I'm cleared for the eliptical and upper body .  Yay!

Just Rain

When I say its raining here, I mean RAIN.  Tons of it, since Sunday night, 5" fell yesterday.  They've closed schools today, there are boats in streets in Cranston, about 15 miles away, moving people from their homes, rivers are overflowing  and its supposed to continue all day today.....another 3" or so.   I;'m thankful to be inside and dry in a town that still has passable roads.  And I can't wait to see some sunshine again!

Anyway, I spent most of yesterday afternoon in my scraproom.  I'm thrilled to have a grabbed a spot in  this

so was having some fun playing with Lesson One.  I completed one layout, and started a second.  I'm sort of new to creating from a sketch, but am finding they offer a great jump start -  even to a noncomformist such as myself!  I'll be scanning and sharing those two layouts over the next day or two.

I'm so longing  to see the ocean and to feel the sand between my toes - I threw this together Sunday morning while the big guy was sleeping.




I discovered some tiny shells in my stash so threw them on for an added beachy feel.

And if all goes according to plan, well,  that is as long as I'm done with my knee physical therapy as scheduled,  I'll be on that beach in about four weeks!  It can't get here fast enough!

So, speaking of physical therapy, I'm off to navigate my way through the water and spend yet another hour doing just that.  Its kind of like a spa treatment on just one  leg!

Just Five Friday Faves

Good Friday night all!  Hope its warmer where you are than where I am.........its WICKED cold outside!!  We even had a little bit of snow this morning.  Where is spring any way?!!!

So,  these were my five faves this week.

I'm an ex-diet coke addict.  I still drink it once in a while, but only if nothing else is available.  When I was poking around the Wrentham Outlets the other day I got thirsty and discovered this.  I'd never seen one of these before, and chocolate milk is better than soda, right?

I think once I tell the big guy I found it for free shipping, he'll be all right with it.  Will let you know  on that.  Either way, its a fave.
